ASA Policy Regarding Website Links
ASA is frequently asked to post on its website links to websites related to aging or aging products and services. Because of the large number of such requests (including 'reciprocal requests') and the limited space on the site for links, we limit our home page links to a few organizations with which we have a significant and long-standing programmatic relationship. We also maintain a section of our website with links to national aging and aging-related professional, trade or consumer associations. Organizations meeting this criterion and wishing to establish an ASA link to their site, may forward sufficient contact information including URL, name, address and phone number, to our marketing and communications department..
ASA Members
As a membership benefit, we allow ASA members (individuals and organizations) to create an organizational profile of their company or agency. This profile includes address and contact information, as well as a listing of areas of interest and expertise and the types of products or services offered. Additionally, members may provide a text description of the company. These profiles and links to member websites can always be found by clicking on the 'Links' button on the ASA homepage, and then clicking on 'Member Sites'. The database of members sites is searchable by interest/expertise, by product type, and by geographic criteria.
If you are an ASA member and wish to create a profile and link to your organization, please log in to the ASA site using your member ID. Once you are logged in, you may select 'Company Profile' from the Members Only homepage options and then create your profile. If you need your member ID, please contact membership@asaging.org.
Links on Your Site
If you wish to link your site to www.asaging.org, please note that use of the name "American Society on Aging," the ASA logo, and the website link are protected by copyright. Permission to do so may be revoked if your use could be construed to endorse or imply endorsement of products, services, or policy positions. Links to the ASA website should indicate clearly that the link is provided as an informational resource on aging.
